askVERA is available in two versions: a consumer offering for individuals who need to understand contracts, letters, policies or official correspondence, and a business version for organisations that want to make their own documents and communications more accessible to customers, staff and the public. Both versions include askVERA’s Plain English and Easy Read capabilities.
Plain English rewrites dense or technical text into clear, everyday language, while Easy Read presents information in short sentences and simple structure, in line with recognised accessibility standards. Together, they remove barriers to understanding for anyone who finds legal, financial or technical language difficult to navigate, including people with learning disabilities or limited literacy.
